Plot

Aoi hears the truth about Subaru coaching the girls basketball team from Mihoshi and agrees with his situation. However, Aoi gets really angry when she finds out that he is also compromised to help Airi learn to swim regardless of studying for his own tests and brings some friends of hers to challenge the girls to a match with their coach at stake. It does not take long for Subaru to realize that Aoi's true intentions are to test Tomoka and her friends' determination and help them improve instead.

Trivia

• An important part of Aoi's plan to help the girls improve involve getting Airi to fully accept her role as her team's Center, because Aoi herself played Center for Kirihara Middle School. Her flashback implies that she is quite short for a Center player, so she has to rely more on finesse than brute force and thus gets easily overpowered by much taller opponents.
• Aoi's team is only two points away from winning the match, but she still decides to concede after Airi successfully blocked her potential game-winning layup.
